The New York Film and Television for Diversity and Inclusion Mentorship Program, a program of the Governor’s Office for Motion Picture and Television Development (MPD), is a two-tier talent development initiative designed to build diverse talent in front of and behind the cameras.
New York Film and Television for Diversity and Inclusion (NYFF + D) is pleased to announce the Fall 2017 Mentorship Program. The mentorship program pairs professional women of color between 21 – 35 with industry veteran mentors in diverse areas of the television and film industry.
Are you a filmmaker who can tell stories in a way that captures and embraces the lives, cultures and experiences of diverse communities? Are you dedicated to helping ensure that emerging filmmakers have the opportunity to tell their stories while changing the face of New York’s entertainment workforce? The NYC Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment’s (MOME) new Diversity Mentorship Program is seeking narrative feature filmmakers with experience in working with cast and crew members from diverse communities, with an emphasis on storytelling. Selected filmmakers will work with established professional storytellers from New York City’s multicultural communities and receive guidance from industry-leading mentors.
