5r55s transmission price

The low cost of a used 5R55 transmission makes it a tempting choice. Finding a secondhand 5R55 transmission that works well can be challenging, and it may take multiple efforts at installation and removal before you finally succeed in acquiring a good one. The amount of time and money squandered can rapidly add up.

Transmission 5R55, Rebuilt

Rebuilt can signify something different to each store. The strength and durability of your rebuilt 5R55 transmission, for instance, may or may not include all of the OE manufacturer’s revisions and modifications. In a typical restoration, only broken or worn parts are replaced. A rebuilt transmission will have previously removed parts reinserted in the same orientation. Do you know why most rebuilt 5R55 transmissions only come with a one-year, 12,000-mile warranty?

A 5R55 Transmission That Has Been Rebuilt

If it’s been done right, a Re-Manufactured transmission will include all the upgrades and improvements required by the original equipment manufacturer (OE). The OE manufacturer’s clean, dust-free assembly environment should be replicated during assembly. A three-year warranty is the very minimum that should be offered on a remanufactured transmission. However, not every Rebuilt Transmission is the same. Companies’ approaches to component selection, production, and testing may vary.Relax knowing that your new 5R55 Transmission incorporates the most recent advancements in the industry with the updates produced by Ford engineers, resulting in Unparalleled strength and Durability.
The solenoid pack, the root of most electrical shift difficulties, has been refurbished in-house.including deconstruction, cleaning, and self-testing.

  • All valve bodies are inspected individually after being remanufactured, and a comprehensive correction and recalibration kit is included.
  • The overdrive planets have been rebuilt and TIG welded to prevent failure due to a lack of lubrication and to boost durability.
  • With the use of in-house custom tooling and bushings, the servo and servo pin have been realigned and changed to prevent unpredictable shifting brought on by excessive wear.
  • The remanufactured pump has been constructed in a unique alignment fixture to ensure uniform internal pressures, better lubrication, and the absence of noise, sliding, and delayed engagement. The pump cover bushing has also been machined into position.
  • Redesigned bushings made to order for optimal internal fluid flow regulation and pressures
Vacuum testing ensures that all repaired wear-prone valves are working properly.
  • We have supplied, fitted, and aligned a flex plate adapter to dampen vibrations and protect the torque converter.

  • The pump has a new rear bushing and a revised front stator bushing to better support the input shaft and enhance lubrication regulation.
  • Torque converter is leak, lockup, concentricity, and balancing verified after complete refurbishment. These enhancements go above and above what is required by OE and completely remove the possibility of any front seal leaks, bushing wear, or vibration.

CARS, a comprehensive dynamometer testing program for road conditions (Computer-Aided Road Simulation). Full synthetic automatic transmission fluid and a filtering system are used in every transmission’s cold and hot testing procedures.

Q. What will I need to order?

Conclusion

A. Vehicle VIN # and current mileage.

Q. Can I install it myself?

A. Yes, Self-installation does not void your warranty.

Q. Does my old transmission core need to be out when the new transmission is delivered?

A. No, you have 14 days from the date of delivery to schedule your core return. Need more time? No problem, just let us know.

Q. How is the transmission shipped?

A. Transmissions are shipped via truck freight (18-Wheeler) through FedEx Freight or R&L Carriers. Depending on your location another carrier may be chosen to better service your area.

Q. How is the transmission packaged?

A. Your order will arrive securely strapped inside a sealed high strength polyethylene (plastic) container.

Q. How do residential deliveries work?

A. For residential deliveries, the carrier must transfer your transmission onto a smaller truck for delivery. The carrier will then call you directly to schedule an appointment for delivery. Because of the extra steps involved residential deliveries are $75 extra.

Q. What else will I need for install?

A. Depending on your transmission type some external components may need to be transferred over from your original transmission. For example, the neutral safety switch, speed sensor, tailhousing etc.

Q. Does the transmission come with fluid? What ATF fluid will I need?

A. Your transmission will arrive with approximately 1-3 quarts of full synthetic ATF in it from testing. The torque converter is already primed with fluid and does not need to be removed. You will have to top the transmission off with fluid before operating. We recommend using our full synthetic ATF or any popular brand full synthetic ATF.

Q. What’s the total cost?

A. The price you see truly is the price you pay, no smoke and mirrors here folks!
