Original Bose Ceiling Speakers

Description

About the Product 🔑

• From 1990 until the early 2010s, Bose sold several 2.1 channel audio systems. The systems used two small satellite speakers and a subwoofer. Early versions of the systems used an in-built CD player, followed by a DVD player. Later versions were AV receivers that used external audio sources.
• Going Global All Bose speakers and music systems undergo extensive testing in specially outfitted listening rooms. Bose sells its first products outside of the U.S., starting in Germany. Through a relationship with an audio retailer in Bad Homburg, Germany, Bose begins selling products outside the United States for the first time.
• I’ve been auditioning these speakers all evening. They were made in 1977, the last year the original 501s were made, before the Series II 501s came out (according to the Bose website). These are floorstanding speakers, each with a 10″ woofer and 2 x 3″ tweeters.

Usage Instruction 🛠️

• Bose recommends installing these speakers only in wood frame or similar ceiling construction with adequately spaced studs, as found in 2 x 6 construction. These installation guide instructions are specific to this type of installation only.
• Welcome to Bose User Manuals Resource Instant access to original user manuals, setup guides, troubleshooting tips, firmware updates, and support for every Bose product from classic QuietComfort models to the latest 2025 Ultra series, Smart Ultra Soundbars, SoundLink portable speakers, and home theater systems.
• The Bose® Virtually Invisible® 791 series II or 591 in-ceiling speakers provide superior performance for built-in stereo music listening and home theater enjoyment.
